Too many people buy on price and not enough assess the risk they wish to cover. Aviva were both the cheapest and included essential elements of cover - so when the wheel came off - which physically it so nearly did - we knew we had good support. Always nice to know you bought the cover you thought you bought ... well, 2 claims in 5 years ... in one case fault ... the other non-fault. In both cases the staff were sympathetic and supportive. They were non-judgemental and reassuringly knowledgeable. A quiet confidence that exuded professionalism. I cannot find fault with the way they handled either claim. When I was at the wrong end of the claim they were covering my back. When we had to claim when my wife was hit, again they sprang into action and took the whole thing away and dealt with it. Now over my long life-time I can definitely say I do not know any other insurer with whom I could place my utmost faith in. Some close but non better. Thank You Aviva.

A very easy website to use to get a quotation for car insurance, with clear help advice if you don't fully understand how to respond to the question. Able to review your input and amend your details to arrive at the best quotation. Once quotation is confirmed and paid, able to register as an Aviva customer to access all the documents you require for policy details, insurance certificate, etc, so need to wait for paperwork to arrive by the post. Subsequent alterations such as change of vehicle, or adding additional drivers, etc, can all be input through the website and an immediate recalculation advises what effect the changes have on your premium. In summary this is an easy experience enabling the client to be in control of their requirements without having to speak to a customer service department. However if you need to speak to an adviser they are well trained in understanding all the possible queries requested and give clear advise how to make changes or help.
